On the occasion of the Annual EAU Congress, the European School of Urology organises courses for continuous medical education. Every year, these courses are revised and new members of faculty take part in the programme – all to make sure that course participants receive top-quality, clinically-oriented information that can be of immediate use in their practice.
This year, the ESU offers 38 specialised courses – covering a wide spectrum of topics. All of these courses are aimed at narrow target groups, allowing for a highly individualised teaching approach.
Amongst the new courses this year “Flexible ureterorenoscopy and retrograde intrarenal surgery” chaired by Prof. O. Traxer (Paris, FR), and a course on “Single port surgery and hybrid procedures” chaired by Dr. E. Liatsikos (Patras, GR). These new additions offer insights into the global trends in urology and set them into the context of ever-day urological practice.
All course materials on a CD will be available to the delegates of the 27th Annual EAU Congress free of charge and can be collected at the booth of sponsoring company MILLENIUM TAKEDA. A full list of ESU Courses can be found in the Programme Overview.
If you wish to register for a course, you can do so online during your registration for the congress, or on-site at the ESU desk. Advance registration online is highly recommended – as courses are often fully booked before the opening of the congress!
Uniquely featured at the congress are the hands-on training sessions which are organised by the ESU in cooperation with the EAU Section of Uro-Technology (ESUT), the EAU Section of Urolithiasis (EULIS) and the EAU Section of Robotic Urology (ERUS).
These sessions offer the participants a unique opportunity to be introduced or to advance their skills using some of the best technology in laparoscopy training available today.
